locatedded here on atlantic avenue between north carolina and pennsylvania avenue, five buildings have been affect and at least two of those buildings have partially collapsed. the fire started around 6:00 o'clock last night... no audio. the top floors are mainly storefronts with apartments above. the fire started in an alteration shop and quickly spread. luckily in one has been injured in this fire but fire fighters have been having a hard time... no audio. >> the weather was an issue tonight with the wind that didn't help us but eventually this thing will go out. we dumped a million or 2 gallons of water on it and it is still going. >> reporter: that is right, wind is a main issue here for the fire fighters. right now it is also drizzling. i'm not sure how that will affect them bat telling blaze trying to get it out. red cross is on the scene assisting five families that

includes 17... no audio they are also on the scene... >> we are having audio issues with same, we will get back to her within the hour. pennsylvania state police joined with philadelphia police to solute trooper david kidra fatally shot in the chest during a gun training exercise. it happened last night at montgomery county public safety training complex in conshohocken. i want to show you eyewitness video from this morning as philadelphia police joined state police, they are escorting the the 26 year-old flag draped coffin to the funeral home in the northeast. state police are calling the trooper's death an accident but they have not released details. he was a two year veteran assigned to troop k skippack station. state police commissioner frank noonan says that trooper kidra died serving the people of the commonwealth of pennsylvania and men and women of the pennsylvania state police mourn his loss and extend our sincere condolences to his family and friend. philadelphia police, fire

heads up on i-95. yesterday the same construction zone caused a mess for commuters in delaware county. taking a look at 95 southbound, that would be towards that right side there the taillights moving through. this is your southbound side maneuvering through area of 476 approaching commodore barry bridge. this construction is allowing one lane to get by. this is only overnight construction but it will affect your rush hour commute. we saw it yesterday. would i imagine it will happen again. plan accordingly this morning. northbound i-95 no major delays at all. moving to the schuylkill expressway 76 is beautiful, wide opened just how we like to see the schuylkill expressway at anytime. take tonight right now. seventy-six east and westbound great not only around that area at 202 but anywhere down towards center city and walt whitman bridge moving beyond south philadelphia looks great. fifty-five on i-95. that will be even through the construction zones of both cottman and girard. we have good news there. fifty-five is what you are traveling on 476, in delays

for 202, 422, pennsylvania turnpike, overall great ride and in delays for mass transit, erika. >> developing this morning the first the united states had it first confirmed case of ebola a the unidentified man is listed in critical condition, and is in ice lays at a hospital in dallas, texas. the cdc says the patient flew to the u.s. from the west african nation of liberia on september 19th. began having symptoms four or five days later. on september 28th he was admitted to the hospital and tested positive for the deadly disease. officials are tracking down those close toes but they do not believe that anyone on the flight was sickened because ebola is not contagious until the patient shows symptoms. >> i wouldn't say there is no concern. we're certainly going to track all of the people who had contact with him and watch him and monitor their health. >> bottom line here is i have no doubt that we will control

the the manhunt for eric frein takes another turn as he police find explosives in the woods. search teams found two pipe bombs in the woods that could be directly or by a trip wire. they continue to focus their efforts near the town of candanceas in the poconos. at a press conference yesterday state the police spoke directly to the suspect. >> i'm calling on you, eric, to surrender. you are clearly stressed, you're making significant

it is out to sea at this point but because we have more northeasterly component to the wind flow here in atlantic city we are getting in on drizzle light rain and a shower. however you want to quantify that here, it is one of those things where we are seeing just a nuisance shower rolling on through but the wind is the bigger issue. when we bring it back today it does feature a chance for spotty shower otherwise we have high pressure retreating. next big thing is starting, to get its act together right now, way out to the eastern edge of the rockies and this is a potent frontal boundary moving through our area here specifically friday night into saturday. so, by that point much cooler air, is set to take over. in the meantime probably also cooler then yesterday was but the pollen levels do stay low. in fact we will just keep it at 2.2 for three days straight right here through friday but you by friday night that system will roll in income pollen levels back by saturday because of heavy rain on the

another round of layoffs is looming in atlantic city toy day as more workers will learn that their jobs could be, at risk. the the city plans to ask the state today for permission to layoff some city workers. they won't say exactly how many jobs are in jeopardy but the city's tax revenue is shrinking after four casinos folded just this year. one of those casinos that closed could soon have a new owner, bidding war for former revel casino went in the early morning hours. a canadian firm offered more than 110 million-dollar for the now closed casino. they are bat welling a florida develop tore buy the building that was atlantic city's most expensive casino. it cost more than $2 billion to build. now time to check your philadelphia job market report and here's "eyewitness news" jobs expert steven gold heberg. >> millions of veterans

we are following breaking news a raging fire rips you this several atlantic city buildings overnight. more than a dozen people are home less this morning as fire fighters, still try to put out those flames. and now it is making matters worse that wind makes it tougher to battle flames. in the video from earlier this morning you can see fire leaping from one building to the next. >> "eyewitness news" reporter syma chowdhry is at the scene right now and has spoken to the fire chief, syma? >> reporter: that is right, ukee and erika. they are saying it is a lot of trouble to put out this fire. we are talking about more than seven hours of work here trying to put out these flames. i will step away so you can see what the situation is like right now. dawn hardly see from this angle because that tree is
